IMATS 2010

I attended IMATS 2010 this year and again, it was amazing! I believe in continuing my education and learning new things to hone my craft. And at IMATS, there were so many incredible educators who shared their wealth of knowledge to makeup artists like myself. 

A couple years ago, I attended a Kett Cosmetics airbrush makeup seminar with Roque Cozzette. He's very charismatic, funny, and so down-to-earth that I had to see him again. Roque is the Artistic Director and co-founder of Kett Cosmetics. He has worked with a long list of celebrities and fashion houses like Dior. He's simply a phenomenal makeup artist. Luckily for me, I also had the immense opportunity to finally meet the other co-founder of Kett Cosmetics, Shiela McKenna. 

On the second day of the show, I invited my good friend Ruth to join me. In the spirit of makeup artistry, we decided to get our face painted. =D. Thank you to Karina for making us look so cute. With an art degree under her belt, I was certain she would do a good job...and she did! As I was waiting for my next class to attend, I met Zena Shteysel. She recently was nominated as part of the Dancing with the Stars team for an Emmy Award for Makeup. I'd have to admit that last season was my favorite so far. Nicole Scherzinger was FABULOUS!!
